I’m Mike – A Father, Husband, and iOS Developer.

Hello. Let me introduce myself. My name is Mike Conner. I live in Dayton, Ohio and am a self-taught iOS Developer. I’ve been blessed to be married to the love of my life, Miranda, for the last 18 years and I am the proud father of two wonderful children. My son is 19 years old and a recent high school graduate. My daughter is 14 years old and will be entering high school in the fall 0f 2021.

I enjoy having a very active lifestyle. A couple of my hobbies are CrossFit, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and hiking. However, my favorite thing in the world to do is watch my daughter play the game of soccer. The time we get to spend together traveling to games and trainings as well as the memories we are making together on this journey are something I cherish very much.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Management Information Systems and a concentration in Mathematics. I also have an Associate’s Degree in Avionics Technologies that I received while serving in the United States Air Force as a Guidance and Control Specialist.

I started learning Swift and iOS development a little over a year ago and instantly fell in love with it. I have been working towards becoming an iOS Developer ever since. Since then, I have completed the Treehouse iOS Techdegree program, Paul Hudson’s 100 Days of Swift and 100 Days of SwiftUI courses, Sean Allen’s Take Home Project course, and several of Code with Chris’ courses in his CWC+ program. In April of 2021 I started the DevMountain iOS Bootcamp. It is a 13 week intensive program to fine tune my skills in preparation of obtaining my first Junior Level iOS developer position.
